A guy I used to work with is Lithuanian and his father fought for the Germans. Some very interesting stories.

As we are now raising other "foreign" U-boat Kaleuns, might I add Wilhelm von Mässenhausen, who was born in Sydney, Australia.

Have a look through SH3Cmdr's "Names_places.lst" file for other interesting birthplaces - This file lists the birthplaces (where known) for every serving uboat Kaleun and crewman (thanks again to ubootwaffe.net for allowing me to export their data into a local database of my own).
