@GR.....A harsh lesson to learn mate but at least it's sorted now http://imgcash3.imageshack.us/img412...uplargeon1.gif Two year ago I noticed a deduction of £750 pounds from my bank account. Called at the bank and they immediately refunded the money into my account but after a month long investigation admitted they had no idea which account in London they had transferred the money to :nope: |
Always check your statement at the end of each month and compare it to any dockets you have.:yep:

sigh
:nope: like so many people these days, i get the statement, thumb through it, and make sure i have sufficient funds to cover my outstanding bills. usually - due to my job over the past few years - my wife has been the one reviewing the statements regularly. she explained to me that she only noticed these two charges a few months ago, but had assumed that they were associated with my web site. However, now that im home more often now, i have resumed "control" of the financing situation. and my first act as head of the financial sector at this household was to collect up all the debit cards for the checking and saving accounts, and file them away for a period of 6 months. this decision was made because it had become apparent that nearly $900 per month was spent on debit card purchases... and in most cases it was purchases that would have probably never been made without cash on hand. |
