My compliments to you, Captain America. You did a 4-O job on the mod. :yep:
Bravo Zulu. |
It appears one simple line of text eluded me during the merge. I didn't change the TMO version number that appears in the game menu. It still reads 162 instead of 163. It has no effect on gameplay but I guess it could confuse some newbs so I updated the file with the corrected text (can't help it, I'm anal).

The HUD looks great! Do you think you might make one for the German side for TMO 1.63?

I am having no luck getting your MOD to appear in my game. I am using the generic MOD enabler and I have SHIV:Gold (1.5) with TMO (latest version) installed as my only installed MOD.
I unzipped your file such that it resides in the following folder SHIV main folder ...MODS folder ---...HUD MOD folder (<----your unzipped file located in this sub-folder) ---...TMO MOD folder I have "enabled" your MOD using the Generic MOD enabler, but no joy. Is it compatible with TMO and/or with SHIV:Gold 1.5? Thank you for what looks like a beautiful MOD! |

I got it to work with the U-Boat side. It is a simple addition. If anyone wants to make it usable for the German side simply copy the American folder inside the mod's Menu/Skins folder and rename the copy German. I just love this HUD!

@Captain Hill- I'm wondering if you are having the "double folder" issue mentioned earlier. When you double click on the HUD mod folder you should immediately see the Data folder inside....if you see another folder called HUD mod then thats the problem.
|
The folder will be named "Data?" I'll check when I get home. I am at work right now.
Some of the MODs I download result in a file with an unusual format, something like ****.7z. Should this file be "unzipped?" If yes, with what program (WinZip?). Thanks for your perseverence! :) |

Oh...it sounds as if you haven't even unzipped it yet. :o Ok, first you need a free program called 7zip to unzip the file. You can get it here: http://www.7-zip.org/ Once you get the program you have to unzip/extract the file to your mods folder. So when you're done, inside your mods folder you should see a folder named 'Hud Mod for TMO 163'. To make sure everything is ok...when you double click that folder, inside should be 2 more folders named 'Data' and 'Support'. Let us know how you make out. |
