-S PS. I do find it very telling that the BBC ignored the attacks, but when Israel attacks, they are all over it. Sounds like the ultimate propaganda machine - way beyond Israels right there. |
See, you talk about the rockets because that's all you heard about, but you forget the continuous air raids over gaza during all the cease fire.
Well anyway I know you don't care and I don't care about you either so whatever. |

So typical of you, barking barking and barking. Anyway it kind of illustrates my point on Israeli propaganda so thank you.

Anti-sematism? A quick Ctr+F search reveals that the words 'Semite' or 'Jew' Have not been mentioned in this topic until now. People seam to be talking about politics, nations and events, rather than religion or race. |

Well, this thread is aptly titled, in any case.
This is the kind of thing that is interesting to observe: people letting partisan views interfere with the facts. Seriously, the fact is that Isreal has been getting shelled by Palestinians in Gaza from well before their relatiation. This isn't something that's debatable - this is what actually happened. People always seem to deplore the violence of those most effective at it. In other words, it doesn't matter that the Palestinians are lobbing mortar shells at Isrealis because those mortars are simply not very effective. However, when the Isrealis respond by firing back with more effective weapons, certain segments of the world get all up-in-arms over it. I guess it's just a fascination with rooting for the underdog. Forgetting the cause and focusing solely on the effect is short-sighted. |

I'll buy into this argument when I start seeing the Palestinian protest marches against terrorism. There certainly are details and minutiae to debate but this point is a tad off-base, IMO. Remember, the Palestinians ELECTED Hamas. http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Hamas_wi...inian_election This isn't a splinter unit acting alone. |

But I think you are right. Israel has been hit by mortars and Kassams (spelling?) for quite some time now. And it was just a question of time until the big guns would answer that.:-? I think it is a never ending story. Both sides have too many idiots to achieve a durable peace down there. |
