You guys can obviously do what you want but, in my opinion, its poor form to start a thread where the first post is simply a link to another thread.

I don't even see why you're defending it considering the person who started it admitted:

Then why start a meaningless thread about it? Why not just avoid his threads?

I don't agree with Subman on some things (haven't read up enough to know all his positions), but I certainly would either challenge him directly on those issues versus starting something for the sole purpose of challenging him in general.

I might be missing something here, but that's my point nonetheless...
