I don't think it's the name Adolph that's the problem. Choosing to put together the names Adolph and Hitler as first and middle names is a bit of a stretch regarding credibility. It's not like Mr and Mrs Head naming their child Richard and not thinking about nicknames.

I could awnser your question, but I dont think neal wants us to talk about that stuff.

Oops, I forgot to mention that was a rhetorical question. I probably shouldn't even have asked it if it's gonna get anyone in trouble:lol:

Frame57 12-16-08 09:39 PM

My bad! I did not know he was also named Hitler (OMG). What are people thinking?:nope:

Which is also very difficult to believe.

Task Force 12-16-08 09:41 PM

Just think about this kids life if he dosent change his name. The parents probably did it for a laugh.

A Very Super Market 12-16-08 09:45 PM

Whats funny about Richard Head?

I think the kids parents are completely missing the point of trying new things.

First of all, the name Adolph isn't new, and giving him the middle name "Hitler" seems like they were trying to sound racist. So is "Aryan Nation". Seriously, what?

Second, their argument makes them sound like retards, they've taken a quote out of context and slapped it in.

Third, they haven't considered at all what the kid would say. Would you like it if someone decided to name you after the most notorious man to live?

bookworm_020 12-16-08 09:48 PM

The kids will get their revenge on them when they get old and they send them to the retirement home featured on 60 minutes!

Some parents are shockeres when it comes to names. My dad is a teacher and these are a couple he's come across

Thresea Green

Sue Ridge

Dwain Pipe

Terry Towel This guy was the head on an insurace company, had had his name on a letter as T. Towel!

A Very Super Market 12-16-08 09:55 PM

I think Dwain Pipe and Terry Towell are contenders for BEST NAME EVAR

I don't get Sue Ridge..:-?

A lot of names in my town are in Chinese, or completely unsuitable for names

Lets leave celebrity baby names out of this discussion please

My brain has gone through enough "OMG WHAT" moments

Just a request for the inevitable flood

Wolfehunter 12-16-08 10:14 PM

:rotfl:Lol my cuisine used to joke with the family that he would name his son Adolf Hitler but we all knew it was just a joke to spark the moment with beers and booze.

Wait till I tell him someone beat him to the punch.

In a normal world naming your kids whatever you want should be tolerated without bias. But we don't live in a normal world. So naming him or her these odd names will cause issue. Poor kids.:nope:

Well said.

But should a holocaust survivor be tolerant of someone just so lighthearted about naming their kid "Aryan Nation"?

Falkirion 12-16-08 11:12 PM

Sorry but the parents must've been smoking something good when they named him. Yes I get its a name, and yes parents are allowed to name their kids whatever they please.

I just dont agree with them naming their son Adolph (Let alone Hitler) after one of the worlds most hated individuals. But they're entitled to do what they want. Feel bad for the kid though, either he'll be feared in the playground or teased and most likely bullied something shocking.

baggygreen 12-16-08 11:42 PM

its simple - they've either got a terrible sense of humour or they're racist SOBs.

I guess names in the same boat would be Joseph Stalin, Mao tse-Tung, Genghis Khan...

names that have been tarred with a very nasty brush.

I agree. Why go looking for trouble?
