Thanks unruhly for taking care of a shipmate in his last days.

So long Dusty see you when we get there ... forever starts when ye believe not when you die.

I'm Irish so I'll go have a beer ... R.I.P.

Wow sorry to hear about this, my sympathies to the family though, it is nice to see the caring here at subsim.

Linton 11-20-08 12:02 PM

Was he a member of the Submariner's Association in the UK?If not ,could anybody let me have a little more biographical information on him so I can post an obituary on The Submariners Association website. Many of his former shipmates may be unaware of his passing.

Thank you

Thank you to everyone for your heartfelt condolences.

One last thing of note...
It was Tony's request to have his ashes delivered to the depths via a torpedo tube launch. The vessel to carry his ashes??? His hand made model submarine which was well over 6 feet long with working masts and periscope. One of many that he made over the years.

This guy lived, breathed, and quite litterally died submarines! I was very lucky to share a part of his remarkable life.

THE SUBMARINERS CREED:
"TO PERPETUATE THE MEMORY OF OUR SHIPMATES WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE PURSUIT OF THEIR DUTIES WHILE SERVING THEIR COUNTRY. THAT THEIR DEDICATION, DEEDS AND SUPREME SACRIFICE BE A SOURCE OF MOTIVATION TOWARDS GREATER ACCOMPLISHMENTS."

Regards to all,

I remember Tony here on SubSim, very nice fella. Being gone when this happened I missed the announcement of his passing on..

So, on the 2nd anniversary of Tony's passing, here's a salute to a real submariner. You may be gone Tony but you are not forgotten. RIP, dive deep, and may God keep you safe in his hands for eternity. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...igpic336_1.gif
