those sure exist but we lack pictures, we'd need someone to access declassified material and pictures of the IJN submarines, I'm sure they documented them thoroughly before sinking them

Oh my God, those sub interiors look WORSE than the interior of a type II german sub. Where the heck are the depth gauges in the first pic. I see dive plane wheels, but no gauges. At least the majority of the pipes in German subs were run along the ceiling.

The first two pictures are from a "transport" submarine, end of war, maybe less well built.

I'll try and extract pictures from the movie Go Chin (1942) but they are dark usually... The depth gauge has a needle with a crescent at one end and like a can opener at the other.

I know the US Navy must've pictures of the inside of the captured japanese submarines, they must be declassified by now, anyone know where / how to get access to those and scan them ?

Like the Fischer Torpp archive, I know the US Navy must've pictures of the inside of the captured japanese submarines, they must be declassified by now, anyone know where / how to get access to those and scan them ?

Yea those were transpor submarines, even odder they were ARMY not navy subs:-? thats why they look so.. well $hitty

the navy subs were MUCH nicer than those

so do you think anyone of you guys could have a do at trying to get that data concerning the IJN subs that's declassified ? I sure as heck can't do that from Belgium....
