Sea Tiger, if you need any info about historical events or ships, feel free to PM me or post in this thread. I'll see what I can dig up.

What were the characteristics of WW1 torpedoes? Speed and range, and did they have variable gyro angles or did they only fire straight ahead?

Thanks for the support Everyone!

I'm so glad that someone has taken it upon themselves to start this project. As most others that have posted, I too am very excited about this. I think that a WWI subsim done right would be a great game.

The only WWI subsim available right now (to my knowledge) is "1914: Shells of Fury." And it seems to have its share of issues including, but not limited to: Poor graphics, performance issues, no random campaign (ugh, makes me shudder :nope:), etc...

USS Sea Tiger, visit the WWI section at uboat.net. They have a whole bunch of neat info there that you might find useful.

I like the idea very much, even though it means i will never finish the war campaign in GWX.

Hi,
I'm not a modder but I would like to help with ,,theory parts" about Austro-Hungarian campaign. I red some books dedicated to this topic and some of the infos may be useful.

Hope KuK navy will have some other U-boats than UBs... Holland's U-5, 6 and Germania's U-3, 4... please:)

BTW did you knew that 33% of all the AH sub sailors were Czechs? Quite a lot for a inland nation, isn't it?

A Brilliant Idea!

A very good idea!
Having read some books on this era I am really looking forward to this Mod.
Take your time, do not be rushed!
I hope you can convert some battleships from SHIII to ships like HMS Iron Duke.
Good Luck.
KUrtz

No pics but an update

Hi

no new pics today but hope for some soon.

As for the AH Submarines I am looking for plans for them. still nothing solid but the holland boat and the UBI's I am wanting the plans for the french sub captured and sailed by Von Trapp very much.

Thanks to a Major breakthrough supplied by Mikhayl and Anvart there will be the Iron duke, the Dreadnought, some older cruisers and also include some very nice clippers and coastal sailors and paddelers. I am hotly busy making conversions even as we speak.

Stumbling blocks still to be overcome, when models are imported vis s3d to the vii or IX classes they will not appear unless I delete teh deck gun node.
Working on making Mines appear and explode when in contact vsls.

the year is seemingly hard coded, cant change that so it seems. I can make the year 1914 but the war is still years in the future to start.

This looks cool.:D Cant wait for it to be released.:p

Very Cool Mod!

Does this mean you need some Air Ships?
;)

Both sides had them in WWI.

And a nice variety of them also.
