From the playable ships, you're missing the playable Fubuki Class Destroyer, first playable ship made avaiable by Xant.
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=135025 Thought to help out a little. heh. |
I just noticed you don't have my Pre Pearl Harbor Career Start mod listed. Link is in my sig. It should probably go under Gameplay.
TIA. |
i noticed that under "tools" you have JSGME listed as a must-have which i agree with, but you also need to identify the silent 3ditor as THE must-have tool for any modding so people stop asking for the mini tweaker and tweak files.
might i suggest that you list it as: S3D - Silent 3ditor (The Ultimate Must-Have Mod Tool) keep up the good work  |
Hi,
Please link the ROW Pacific Environments 3.3 to the new version 4: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=138663 Thanks ! |
VIRUS ALERT- please review!
I'm sorry if I am not using the right fourm to do this, but I just download a very powerful Virus from this forum thread , "MOBIUS mod links etc." The virus went through AVG antivirus, Webroot spysweeper etc.
Am trying to remove it now, it appears to be a hijacker. I strongly urge that this thread be REMOVED. Do no download anything from this thread- |
There's nothing wrong with the thread itself. If you got a virus from one of the files, you should identify and report which one. Don't blame the whole thread.

while you can never say something will never happen, i have never heard of anyone getting a virus from the links here at subsim. people here are adults who act responsably and dont get off by screwing up other peoples computers. even if a virus would somehow accidentally get into a mod download it would be quickly replaced with a non infected version as soon as it is found. people here can be trusted and mods that are posted here are clean and virus free. if some immature person came here and started posting mods with viruses it would destroy the whole spirit of this community so that person, once identified and found guilty, will be dealt with quickly and in a timely manner. you say clicking on this thread gave you the virus but AFAIK that is not how it works. you have to click on a exe file to download or activate a virus so if it showed up by you clicking on this thread then it was already on your computer and was only "triggered" by a link you clicked on or it may have been triggered by a set time that had nothing to do with this thread or anything you were doing at the time. i recently had found a virus on my fathers computer that only showed up when he opened an old game. the minute he clicked on the game the virus was triggered and it started doing its thing and he hadnt downloaded anything in 6 months so keep in mind many viruses hide out in other applications and wait till you open it to be triggered. in my fathers case he opened a porn video 6 months ago and it installed the sleeper virus in a game folder it picked at random from his files. it remained undetected because it was still zipped untill the exe file triggered it to open. the game was installed from the original cd disk so i know it didnt have a virus in it before he downloaded porn. |

BTW Spysweeper has nothing to do with viruses. Handles Spyware, different animal. Peabody |
I have downloaded nearly all mods for sh3 or sh4 in the last 4 years and never had such virus or anything else. If there is any danger in one of the mods pls name it to help other people avoiding it.

Lacking more specific evidence, I think it's safe to say we're all responding to a troll. Back to business!

Main thing here with this virus issue, would be that no mod I know has executable files, or dlls or anything executable... Video virus are totally different, they frequently use windows media player bugs so they can do their thing... So it's almost impossible to get a virus from any of these downloads.
