changing views at high time compression is known to cause sound issues in silent hunter three.
there is also the one of being on the bridge, at high tc then diving, or switching to the command room view... this causes the sea sounds to loop. general rule of thumb... dont change views at anything greater than 1x TC even though this problem doesnt always happen. if it happens again, save the game (assuming your not near land or other ships or submerged) then exit the game and restart the game and load your save. this should fix sound issues. |

Well, for info, I just experienced this for the first time. I'm thinking it's definitely TC-related.
I was surfacing on TC, something I dont think I've ever done before. Just thought I'd kick it to like 32X 'cause I wanted to exit to do something else. Creaks started looping at like 16X as I was clicking up to 32X, kept looping on the surface. Saved and exited (career, not game), reloaded save and all fine. |
strange sound thinghies is a stock SH3-issue. I have limited TC to max 1024 via SH3cmdr for exactly this reason.
