SUBSIM Radio Room Forums - Screen Resolution revisited

Good news !:lol: I found out that if I changed the programed screen resolution in the d3d9 configure file to the same screen resolution as I have set in my windows display settings I get the black border's on the sides in the game. In order to get round buttons , dials ,etc. it needs to be about 1/2" wide. At least on my screen. A minor sacrifice which is not noticeable. I believe when I down loaded the new drivers for my video card I got a new program. I don't recall seeing it there before. It's called NVKeystone and when you hit the adjust button it brings up an overlay with arrows that you can move on top and bottom to reset the aspect ratio. Once you set it you can lock it. I tried to save it as a profile but that doesn't seem to work. Reason is , when I reboot the machine the desk top goes back to the original view. No big deal, I just right click , bring up the controls and it automatically sets everything back. Interesting thing is that when I play SH4 it covers the whole screen. This is probably because I have the screen resolution a tad higher in SH4 than my windows desktop. Anyway I found out how to make it work. No matter what you do , you have to have that screen resolution fix using that d3d9.dll. Thanks again for all the help. DVI, HDMI, why they make it so complicated I don't know. I just found out that Blu Ray doesn't play anything but Blu Ray, HD DVD's can only be played on HD DVD player's, and upgrading type DVD player's can only play regular DVD's. If someone wants to make a killing in the industry make one that does it all. In either case round is good.
