Vocal too, hope you have some good earplugs  ;)

Hope he pulls through alright, we've got three that have adopted us, one we found in our back garden, one a friend of ours found, and one that was found when we went to buy a caravan. Mishka, Nikita and Tiggers

He's a Siamese, probably about a month and a half old. Poor guy had oil on his head, but I cleaned him off when we got home.

What a noble thing you have done.

This is Semtex,

Semtex...?

I remember some story where a pair of dogs or cats was named Anthrax and Ebola. and I knew one guy in berlin who had a Rottweiler wioth constantly bad mood, named (pronounce German) Tee-Drei-Vier (T-34) The beast was a tank indeed, and it was in a bad mood all day long.

But what has your cat done to deserve that name?

It's nice in Irish, too.

Nice!
When I was a child our cat had 4 male kittens. I named them Hitler, Stalin, Franco & Mussolini. Well, Adolf, Joe, Frank and Duke :p

@ SH - Looks like he's in good shape! Eating well?

Stealth Hunter 07-28-08 07:12 PM

Yeah, he's been eating quite a bit. However, his fitness isn't very good. He's really very thin, and I'm guessing he just looks a bit pudgy since he's curled up.

I've tried not to feed him too much since it can kill him (I recall the cases of starved POWs in Japanese prison camps eating excessively due to starvation after being liberated by Allied forces and then dying from the shock of it). I've named him Zero in honor of the Mitsubishi A6M fighter.

awesome name for a cat!

Good luck with your newest friend

Peto 07-28-08 08:44 PM

Very cool SH! My cat and I are both quite happy with you!

What a great thing to do, my hat is off to you, good sir.
Cats make for a great ocmpany, though i fear my cat as taken a bit too much after me, he is long, thing, eats like a horse and is a complete *******, still love him to bits.
He just came and curled up on my lap when i was readin this thread :D
Here is a poor quality webcam picture of the bugger.

What an awesome thing you did, SH, rescuing the poor little guy! Keep us updated on his progress! Most of our cats in the past have been rescues or strays that adopted us. One such cat is the one we call Icy. She showed up in the middle of winter back in 2004. Was only a few months old. She knew what the inside of a house was since she wanted in so bad and is deathly afraid of the outside. To this day if she even thinks you are walking near the door with her, she will freak out. By the way, she is the spawn of satan. She's very evil. She is also crazy. The slightest sound will send her running. If the slightest thing is out of place she approaches it cautiously. She knows how things are suppose to be and don't like misplaced objects.

This one is named Dover. He is a Birman that we rescued from an animal shelter at the end of this past February. He was actually on the local news for their Pet of the Week segment. We called first thing on a Monday morning and got him. He's a real dork. He loves to play and is always chasing bugs. He and Icy are always chasing each other. In the shot above, Icy has become a fat cow, but she has lost some weight now that she has a friend to chase. She's still fat, though.

Here's a pic I took of both of them a while back. Now if they get that close, they start wrestling with each other.

You are never lonely when you have a cat nor are you ever crowded.

I got to name the two cats of a fellow co worker. Bob and Ally (prefix that infront of the word cat to see how the naming process was done), but alas, bob was killed by a car after 6 months. They got a replacement cat named Fang (Loved to bite a rubber stress ball, hence it's name)

SH, he is Gourgeous with a capital G!! You're lucky you're on the other side of the pond or there would be an attempted heist

Seriously though, he's beautiful, I've always had a soft spot for the Siamese, and I love the name, Zero. I'm sure that when he's feeling better he'll be flying around the house like one too ;)

How is he drinking? And has he been to the toilet, if so how is it? All are important factors. However, he looks in good shape aside from the thin-ness, so I think the forum has got itself a new mascot to stand up there with old Niki.
