Not a good come back.:nope:

Too many things that niffed me off, even the critics are some what divided over this one. I just found it a let down, maybe in a few years when it comes to TV I may change my mind but that is a while off.

4.9 out of 10

YES, YES, and YES. That has got to be the most underrated film of all time. Have you heard anything about "The Last Full Measure"?

I've heard of it, but after GaG (ha ha what an acronym!:rotfl: ) I'm surprised anybody would take it up. There were parts of GaG that I really liked, but there were more just awful parts. That is a great movie for DVD, because you have a skip button. I just had more fun reading the reviews for GaG.

The long sobs of autumn violins, wounds my heart with a monotonous lagour  ;)

Now, down to the film.
I thought the storyline was a bit outlandish, even for an Indy film, but having read up on the crystal skulls it was a blast to see all the theories put together like that. All in all it was a good romp with some good one-liners as an Indy film should be, it's not as good (IMHO) as 'The Last Crusade' which is and shall always be my favourite due to the rapport between the two Jones.

Oh, and who thinks that due to the scene in that 'town' towards the start of the film that the next Indy film might be 'Indiana Jones and the fallout poisoning of doom'? Good special effects though, the second I saw the town I was silently screaming for him to get the heck out of there!

My favourite part:

What galls is how together with America we defeated Hitler, and how we sympathised when Bin Laden hit them.
Convienently missing out the fifty years in between...

Just can't make up my mind.

I'm sure I won't be purchasing it though.

I have not seen it yet but # 1 was just great. #2 I did not like at all. #3 was enjoyable. Let see what #4 has for me:D

Clever lad!;)

But that was not what I thought of, but I guess you knew that...

Anyway, I know that many people don't really like this one. I'm cool with that. I loved, it, maybe because I knew it would be unrealistic, over-the-top and not as the old ones. But it had action in that special Indy-style that I just love. The scene in the "ghost-town" is wonderful, IMHO. Anyone else noticed that it's written "I Like Ike" on the bomb?:rotfl:

A bit of an overkill by the Russians IMO.......we didn't ban U-571

Hmm...

I just saw it - had a great time. No, it wasn't Raiders, but what was? They had a nice tribute to the first movie, a very nice tribute to the TV series, a tip of the hat to Denholm Elliott and Sean Connery, and a whole lot of fun.

I liked it.

nikimcbee 05-25-08 12:55 AM

okay, maybe I need to change my mind about the movie:

Sorry!

Ooops!

I thought this was a Batman thread!:damn:

Just saw Indy yesterday! It was mindblowing!

Blacklight 05-27-08 01:37 AM

Everyone I know who saw the film came back not liking it and telling me not to waste my money. The last time they did that in unison was when Star Wars Episode One came out... and they were right ! :dead:

joegrundman 05-27-08 02:18 AM

I really had a crush on Karen Allen when i was younger, so i think i might enjoy this one too:D

The last one came out 7 years ago... and NOW you're suddenly reviving the series...?

Makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?
