As well as substantial quantities of the pungent leaf and a number of containers of a white granulated substance, a large haul of biscuit based tea paraphernalia was also recovered fron the scene.
An official spokesman commented that "This divisive substance has widespread use throughout the community here, with users from all classes and walks of life; characteristics that reveal users include the stiffening of the pinkie finger and brown staining of the fingers from handling the leaf. Other indicators include brown stained containers used to mix the leaves with water and a sticky residue sometimes found in distinctive rings on various surfaces in the home of the user."
The investigation continues.
