Good luck captain !!:D
Have you planned some far patrol ?? like american coast or caribbean ??? :88) i tried it with tc but in real time could be more than 60 days. |
You go man!
Me? I get impatient using TC of only 128 :) |
The fact the game/sim can be played that way or in another with TC all the time, or a mix of both, is a fantastic gift made to us
This even could be a great scientist experience :know: How the player react after few days, weeks etc. Well i mean really stays in a room with the computer without go to work, no wife, be able to see the light of the day only if on surface ; Red lights for night, etc .. This is crazy, isn't it :rotfl: Anyway, my respect for those who can do full RT  |
I tried no TC and it just wasn't possible to do justice to the sim. Yeah you can save and come back to it, but Prien & co couldn't do that and immersion is what it's all about. so, no TC is just an ambition for me. here's the only way I can do this properly I think. 1) win the lottery so I don't have to work. 2) divorce my wife. 3) Move my pc top the bathroom. 4) get my beer delivered. Until I achieve these goals, save game will be the next best thing. Power to you Gotmilk:rock:

Very Cool. Am with you in spirit.

I saw an article on subsim a while ago about how to turn a room into a submarine, it had instructions on everything from rounding out the door and replicating the hatch used in a sub, to having different lights for red and white light. If you could find it and do that to your computer room (or entire house...) then that would be the greatest way to play TC1 short of buying a sub and doing it for real. Good luck either way!

More power to you, GotMilk!
You are doing what I'd like to do if I had the time. Note: I do NOT recomment the "crew vitamins" mod for use with GWX that someone on this thread recommended to you earlier. The file containing the fatigue model for GWX also controls NUMEROUS other functions that may cause you problems if you replace it with the VERY old "crew vitamins" mod. The fatigue model in GWX equals to roughly eight-hour shifts that should give you time to sleep... and represents a HUGE extension of the fast tiring of the crew in stock SH3. You might also consider purchasing a baby monitor so you can visit other areas of your U-boat (house) as needed too. (It really works... I tried it out myself... just don't get the cheapest one and think in terms of rechargeable units.) |
Well, good luck, to be honest I would go mad without time compression, and my girlfriend would kill me, so its far safer to just compress the whole patrol into an hour or two
|
I don't remember hearing from the guy who did this a few years ago?
Perhaps he was found by a Hunter/Killer Group so never reported in? Now that's REAL!! :rotfl: |
Quote:
Some people here gave him absolute hell for simply enjoying himself. It wouldn't surprise me if that was why he left. I remember him as a nice guy. Mail-carrier by day... Uber SH3 Kaleun by night.   |
Double post :(

07.42 September 5 1939 U-48 Time of waking up. Checked for new messages. 07.12 i had a merchant contact long distance. I surfaced the boat to reload battery a little bit and and ventilated boat with air. Made a quick look on deck. Discovered that i was just about 10 km away from Dover harbour. Sadly i did not have time to conduct any attacks on merchant ships that resided near dock Decided to press forward to my patrol area.
08.10 Dove the boat to Pdepth and rigged for silent running. Also adjusted my route so the boat would be more in the center of canal to avoid enemy ships. Going to work. I hope nothing bad happens while i am away. U-48 out. |
i would do the same for my WaW patrol, but i dont think i can stay 2 months at sea for one patrol as the limit is 3 weeks ;)
good luck there |
