My 2 cents.

I wish I would've been as wise as you... While AvP 1 is way better than the AvP:R, there wasnt that many good points on the first one (I hear Hunter coming in to rant about the tournament Predators had in AvP 1 :p), one thing I liked was Mr. Weyland, brought back memories of the Alien series. And of course, the scenery was a closed space, not an open area like in AvP:R. Open areas just wont work with aliens, it has to be something claustrophobic, with aliens crawling around in every hole they can fit into. I mean, why didnt the aliens leave the city in AvP:R? ARE THEY FECKING IDIOTS!? There's 6 billion people to headbite in the world, but noooo, they just stand there and wait to be nuked... oops, I just told you how AvP:R ends... :p

@SUBMAN1

Spot on the money. :up:

@Dowly

I for one don't give a toss if you gave the ending way. :lol:

Ok i see most of yous dont like it:) One though Dowly how the hell were the aliens to know they would get nuked? Why run to the cities when your got easy pickings maybe they would of after they had finished slaughtering the town folks maybe the aliens aim was to set the town up as some alien hive breeding ground then attack the earth later on, but thanks to the Predator he ruined that, also i reckon if the town didn't get nuked the predator probably would of taken them down on his own.:yep: Who knows not going to the city might make a good AVP 3.
The hospital scene was no pussyshow, did you miss the bit where she shoves down the pregnant womans throats im presuming were eggs:o Next thing the room is some type of cocoon for hatching the offspring.

And the acting well yes wasn't spot on but its the Predator that stole the show. I ignored the acting anyways ive seen worse acting than that, one comes to mind is on tv every week is that stoopid TV program LOST. Thats bad acting.

In my order of the best of the best in the series: :smug:

Alien
AVP Requeim
Aliens
Alien Resurrection
Alien 3
AVP

Show this list to someone who is a true Alien or Predator fan and you propably get beaten. :rotfl:

Let's see:

Alien - Good and original story and bad guys (alien in this case).
Aliens - Same as Alien, but with the "Rambo" element added to it.
Alien 3 - A copy of the Alien, but in a good way, very well made.
Alien: resurrection: Milking the title, horrible.
AvP: While not being a excellent film, it atleast had connections to the last 2 series'. For 1, there was the Mr. Weyland and as for 2., there was the Predators vs. Aliens tournament. Like in previous 2 Predator movies, the Preds have onlu hunted on very hot summers and just to fight a "soldier of the earth" and collect a trophy: Sports.
Ok, I'm too drunj & tired to write anything about the Pred series, but if you havent seen both of them, then you can say nothing about the AvP or AvP:R.

AvP:R is one of the most disappointing movies I have ever seen. You think they even tried to make it good? The directors had never directed a full screen movie before! If they really would've wanted it to be a honourable part of the Aliens & Predator series, they would've gotten a decent director to it. Change the costumes of the Aliens & Predator and voila, you have yoirself a Scream.

And as last, this is my opinion, you are free to differ from it ( but I mostly reply ot your post with a posts like "rrright, you REALLY seen the both series? Are you fecking mad!?" etc. )

The problem with nowadays horror movies is
its too much gore..no tension

its more graphical then its story based

thats the biggest problem of AVP:R

Well, it's just the opposite with AvP:R. The first thing I knew from that the movie wouldnt be that gory was the pool scene where the blonde girl took of everything else but not his bra nor panties "Iii, AAhh, I want you yadda yadda yadda". No nudity = no gore. That's the rule I go on nowaday's so-called horror movies, and it has never failed me. Movies suffer from the same disease as games, it has to be available to maximum amount of audience. And that sucks monkey's toes!

*Goes to play Postal 2 and light innocent ppl on fire* YEAH! TAKE THAT FOR WALKING 1CM ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE STREET! WHAHAHAHA!!!!

PS. And Kiwi, you have your opinion and I'm fine with it.

@ Dowly

On another note:
You mention once on a game thats good 'Fahrenheit' Indigo Prophecy. Well i got it the other day, not the uncut version the R16 one. This game didn't come with a manual just dvd case, I play these types of games probably 1 or 2 every couple of yrs so not as clued up. Ive done the tutorial started the game yet the camera angle is always on its bloody side of the character can be annoying. So far from what ive played its a good game, I like it how it doesn't give you any hints you work it out yourself - like the part when the cop turns up at his home i failed once i hid the blood stain shirt but didn't think to hide the bloodstain bedsheets! :rotfl:And i like how you can switch characters. So far so good:up: Just need ot work out the camera angles

YES! Just look how bad Die Hard 4 was, and how marvellous Rambo 4 is. It is more ok to cut a gory scene from Michael Clayton then from a movie that doesnt have much else than swearing anb blood to offer.
