Yeah - now days that looks like a stripped down way to slew your position, but in those days, that is all you got and that was hot stuff! :D  Imagine a world without an F-16 simulator, and you would have sunk your claws into this too! Look - you even have a solid object on screen - the hanger! Hahahaha! The aircraft you shot at were only wireframes too! Flight models were kind of pathetic as well, but what do you expect for like 1984??? Compare this to an Atari 2600 game, and I think I will make my point. These graphics were hot hot hot!!! -S |
OFF (CFS3)
BoB2 FalconAF Falcon4.0 Il2 1946 FS9 LOMAC Pretty sure I've got a copy of Longbow 2 kicking around as well but I haven't played it in years. Mind you, I've been playing flight sims since the early 80's - kinda wish I'd kept those old museum pieces around for nostalgias sake! I keep meaning to try out those Wings over Vietnam / Israel titles as well. |

Could you tell me more about Orbiter & Space Shuttle Mission 2007? I've not heard about these ones before (is is US market only?) All the other flight sims I have played and owned previously (if you include the original Sublogic Flight Sim ! ;) Those were the days .... you needed a 16K Rom Pack, and load up the software off a cassette, and have two or three cups of tea (or whatever) in between. If you were in luck and the tape loaded after 20 minutes of thus waiting in anticipatioon then you could have tones of fun flying...... only I used to remember the screen updates took just as long ha ha ha . Now that is history! Besides this point, the only Shuttle Lander Sim I tried was a demo released with a cover disj in the 90's. It had 'authentic' flight model, sported real pilot and control voice and was kind of cool. Lost track of the real Software title tho' I am up for any offers for any F4 Falcon Pilots out there wanting to adopt a new recruit?! :yeah: .... or anyone wantinig a wing man for basic flight manuovers and watnots?! :03: Best wishes for 2010 to everyone! Wow!!! It's been a long time since I started this thread.
I have bought alot more flight sims and more sophisticated flight controllers since then. I haven't bought any Helio sims YET ! :03: I'm not worth a damn flying those things. Even with my G940 controllers. :damn: :haha: Soon Rof will be in my hanger if they do as promised. I've lately been playing around with Mig Alley. Anybody have it ? |
