SH3 to SH4
Personally I found GWX to be incredibly great preparation for SH4. I wasted no time worrying about the Japanese escorts, just applied what I knew from the Atlantic, and concentrated on learning to send torpedoes where I wanted! Great cruise Penelope. I hope you return to visit even after GWX 2. I know I'll be over there just as soon as my career is over and I'll be bugging you for help.
@Joea yes, very similar in realism options. Trigger Maru changes some of the percentages because the diobolical Ducimus doesn't want us using the external camera to spot his evil periscope depth depth charging airplanes.:rotfl:Now swdw is set to join the evil plane conspiracy with RFB. We're doomed I tell you, doomed! |
-"Ducimus's evil plane!"
-"Ducimus's evil plane!" -"Ducimus's evil plane!" -"It's just a model!" Sorry...couldn't resist! |
You've had a heck of a weekend Beast :o

I have to admit, i love my plane settings, and while i dont brag, im not ashamed to crow a little about the plane settings i applied in TM. Instead of typing out a long, boring, drawn out post, ill just say..
- THey can visually see farther then any unit in the game, being high up in altitude and all. :rotfl: - They can spot you submerged from a range of about 2,000 meters or so. - Their bombs and depth charges have been made more lethal, and depending on the loadout they carry, will explode at around 50-60 feet, or 160ish feet. ( if i remember the numbers right, this was research by tater) So even though you have radar, and can spot them from way off, they still present a threat. They can nail you if they drop the bombs in the right spot, and at the least, they will advertise your presence in the area which will make nearby destroyer typed units to come around and look for you. I think they're a very real theat now, in some ways, probably more dangerous then aircraft in Sh3. If your smart, you shoudlnt have any problem with them, but they are dangerous, and historicaly responsible for the loss of a few boats, via the characteristics ive described above. edit: BTW, ive been working ferverishly on a new versioin of TMaru, ill post a preview sometime today. |

So do I  I cant seem to get rid of external views either. Hell, if I turned on environmental effects and my graphics card is heaving, I'm damn well going to enjoy them! :rotfl: Nice work on your medal. You can print it out and stick it on your shirt and pretend you're yonder chick from 'Down Periscope' :arrgh!: |

Say that entire post out loud, and in the accent. I just did, now I cant stop giggling. :rotfl: |
