Night or Day Hunter

The answer is, of course, YES.
I spend as much time on the surface as possible. I can dive faster than a Zero.
Nighttime is for battery charging and running between patrol areas, and if in the area, attacking whatever is sighted.
Dawn and dusk submerged attacks are near ideal.
If forced to submerge, I search with continuous high periscope as well as sonar.
If my scope is sighted by aircraft, I duck down to 100 ft for 15 min or so then come back up.
If close inshore, I pick a spot in relatively deep water, near a promontory where nothing can get by without being sighted and hopefully, attacked.
I usually take a look about every 5-10 minutes and listen continuously.
Nowhere to run, Nowhere to hide.
