Unfortunately, some of you are right. It is a slideshow, even at dock and i'm sure a combination of the low RAM and integrated video just kills it. I didn't buy the laptop for heavy gaming, just to use while out of the house and basic web surfing.

I do have other games i can load on it which will probably run.. but for now i'll be running GWX on my dualcore here at home with 2 gigs of ram and a 7600GTOC.

Thx for the help.

Tool.

My laptop is a P4 3.1GHz processor with 1 gig of ram and a GeForce GO FX 5700; she runs stock SH3 just fine, but GWX is too much for this old girl to even think about loading :dead: I wish I could but I've never been able to play GWX without some amount of chop coming from my end :nope:

The problem we sometimes face is the import duty paid on goods sent to the UK from the US.

I once purchased a CD ROM from El Paso, Texas for $25 (UK price was nearly £40).

When it arrived I had a letter through my door asking me to pick the disc up from my local Post Office.

When I called to pick it up they charged me £20 import duty. :damn:

I have an HP DV5130, with 1.5gigs of ram and I can run SH3 with GWX2.0 on it. Just can't have all the eye candy going and had to put in lite harbour traffic and 8km atmosphere. It's a bit slow at times and I can forget about trying to do an external view (free camera) peek when a target is going kaboom unless I want a CTD. Aside from that games runs ok. I have been looking at other laptops though, since I'm not to crazy about the Radeon 200m graphics on this thing. Ahh one day I'll have something better.
