Merry Christmas everyone :D
I'll be leaving something under yalls Christmas tree in a little while :cool:

The last time I was at sea during Christmas was in U12, a little duck boat which surrendered at Hartlepool after being depth charged to bits during a failed dock attack. However, on Christmas eve, the engines were stopped and the crew relaxed, a tot of sherry for all the crew and a bottle of becks as a present from the Kaleu who was dressed up in a green shirt, black trousers and a 'beard' made up of a torn shirt. Christmas carols were played on the gramophone and the crew encouraged to sing along to them, even the watch crew who had an extra ration of sherry delivered up to them to keep them warm. Then, as dinner time came along, the boat was dived, spaces cleared in the torpedo room and crew quarters, and a nice dinner had by all.

The next day? Back to business as usual.
