I like the idea of criminal or environmental, but it is early days yet so I am keeping an open mind. Thanks for the confidence :) there are days when we discuss stuff in class and I feel like they are talking in a foreign language!

RDP: Good luck with your mission! Looking forward to hear how you get along with Ducimus's new visual mod!
simon: Good Luck with law school! That's some tough learnin'!!! clayp: When you get sent to an area, I recommend concentrating your time on a line between 2 Major ports. If you can do that, chances are something will come to you. But it can take a while. Hang in there! You'll find the shipping :yep:! And then the destroyers will find you :shifty:... |

Here is a map of shipping lanes. Stick to those areas and you won't have a problem finding contacts. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6..._Strategic.jpg |

Clay, For starters you need to at least leave your home port:roll:. J/K...are you running stock traffic? If so, you should be getting quite a few contacts. I did notice however that Celebes is too quiet for stock game. Funning the slot north from Surabya to Celebes was always busy with vessels. Were are you assigned? |
And I have the reverse problem, what gives?

I´m always doing my photo mission in shallow waters at night. So far it´s been no problem getting the shots in clear weather. I haven´t been spotted yet if not using torpedos on my photo targets. I take a fast shot then I drop the scop, the up again for another. I also plan my photo mission so that I have enough time getting back to deeper water in the dark. If I arrive to late for this, I´ll wait for my time in deep water where no one sees me.
By the way when looking at the map with shipping lanes posted by Reaves, no wonder that I´ll not encounter any ships on my patrols around Aleutian Island. Have to take that transfer "downunder" before my crews moral goes under... |
It really is best to look at the MIS files in the campaign editor if your curious where the raffic is. The acutal traffic might not always represent whats on the map provided with the game. Personnaly, i think that map is about as useful as the game manual.

Go get 'em Rockin Robbins! I'm also using TM's latest and RSRD...any recommendations if a skipper is searching for juicy Task Forces? I gotta' admit, I love the RSRD patrol missions. I had to sail up to Alaska (finding nothing of course) and then also down toward the Marshalls...both places I'd never been assigned to before. I'd love any tips for good Task Force routes or reliable shipping lanes. Thanks all! Howler :arrgh!: |
