Yes, I recall complaints from when SH3 first came out as well!!

Twas evident from the academy
Cant remember which training mission but the 2 Brit escorts open fire on each other for no reason in that

Oh, yeah, stock all the way. It was discussed back then, and it turns out the purpose was to keep YOU from attacking friendly or neutral ships. If anyone attacks friendlies or neutrals they automatically become enemy for 24 hours. Fun to watch sometimes, but not even close to realistic; and exploiting it is the worst form of cheating.:p

One of the things I loved about European Air War was hearing the occassional "Check Fire! Check Fire! Shooting at friendly!"

I'm afraid my answer is 'never'. I've never seen it happen. Then again, I try very hard to not be around ASW vessels of any stripe! :p

I was curious what i would find in Loch Eve docked the other day and i desided to go take a look. suddently A DD started pinging me, he made a couple turns around
me. And suddently i heard depth charges go off, so i took a look with the external view. and i couldn't what i saw. Not only that DD missed me by about 150-200m,
he also depth charged himself:rotfl: ,because of the shallow water i supose.

Best thing that ever happened to me was when I was being attacked by a destroyer that was circling a sinking Revenge battleship.

The BB was rolling over on its port side, and it was slowly dying. The crew had already abandoned, and water was almost submerging the port gun barrels.

Anyway, I took damage and had to surface. Ended up beside the hull of the battleship, so it acted as a shield whilst the DD shot away at me, only to hit the hulk and give me an even more intriguing spectacle to behold.

He ran aground with the battleship, got entangled in the funnel, and, I s%#t you not on this, he was drug down with it to the bottom of the Central Mediterranean Sea. Got credit for him, too!:rotfl:
