I'm waiting for the new patch and will give this game another go. But when I was playing I was using the X1300 with 2 gig RAM. It ran fine. I couldn't ramp up the extra vid bells and whistles, but I never really cared for that anyay; it worked fine for me.

While doing research on the internet for cards I looked up info on my current one, an aging ATI Radeon 9800 XT . Apparently, going by c/net and the like, it was the card to have....in the fall of 2003. That's about a millenium ago in this industry.

lol thats crazy. My computer came with a Nvidia 6800, However I liked to play BF2 at high settings. So i picked up the Ati x1550 at Office depot one night for i thin $120, about a year ago. Later on i learned through computer gurus on BF2 servers that the x1550 was a lemon and that the x1300 ran faster and was easier to overclock. (I have never had the balls to get into overclocking).
That being said i know that ill have to upgrade at some pont as games only get better. Just a side question to anyone running duel vid cards.
Is it really worth it?

The X1300 I have is the Visiontek XGE that is overclocked out of the box. I satisfied with it for now.

Running duel cards was something I never really looked into.
