Besides: the thread was about "JPII returning" not about antisemitism and israeli-polish relations (such thread could be interesting but not with attitude of AL and kranz).

The pope thread derailed into the mess for which it was shut down. But different to the questions about Dowly, this new thread now asking why the pope thread was closed - was not shut down, although it should have been clear from the beginning where it is heading.

Just a clarification: when I refered in the original thread to one of the evilest places in the world, I was referring to Auschwitz - not to the country Poland. The picture that accompanied that comment of mine was of 2 Israeli F15's in a fly-over above Auschwitz in 2003.
