I realize I'm probably preaching to the choir here...
But just as a side note to others... When coming back, this might suggest that you need to put your sub on the dot before giving your nav ofcr the order to plot the return. Not so.
Remember, the nav ofcr will plot the track at the end of your already plotted waypoints. So you can be several hundred miles out, and just zoom in on the black dot, put your last nav waypoint on it and then execute the order to plot the canal return course from that last waypoint position.
Incidentally, same is true if you should happen to wander out of your sub pen in kiel before plotting the exit course. Just put a waypoint on the black dot and then plot the course. You can just delete the one or two extraneous waypoints that are in or close to the sub pen. |
