Ok, my fellow Kaleuns:
This is the final outcome of this: After tracing an interception course, I found the convoy and after taking a look with the obs peri, I noticed that some ships were burning and sailing really slow (2-3 knots). Bagged 3 destroyers (the fourth sank without my assistance) and of course taking care of the rest of the ships was a matter of singing and sewing. When all the smoke cleared up, this is what I found.... There were 3 subs constantly attacking the convoy (that explains the ships burning), but once they saw me, the decided to follow the convoy's route and they didn't even say goodbye.... :nope: CapZap http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t...nshots/1-1.jpg |
Talk about a cone of death there :arrgh!:

Hi CapZap,
As I said before ... in your screenshot it looks like you can edit the labels under the mark tool like this: http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...rkerConvoy.png and this: http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...erMerchant.png While in my game it only shows like this: http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...rkerNormal.png I'd like to know which mod allows you to edit this. Many thanks mate, Raubvogel |

Sorry I didn't help you before with this... Ok, this is the situation: The markings you see with labels such as "?Merchant?" and others are not placed on the map by me. I use SH3 Gen for every mission. If you place a mark manually, you can't edit the text. It would be a good idea perhaps to use SH3 Gen. It's a very nice little program that gives you a lot of valuable info for your patrol, such as possible whereabouts of merchants, convoys, subnets, minefields, and others, friendly and enemy. http://www.global-explorer.de/ Note that I don't use the 0.8 version, I use the 0.7, since i didn't have time to see how the last version works. This is how you use it: 1.- Start SH3, start your patrol from your base and once you are at least 50Km away from your port and no contacts, save and exit to menu. 2.- Without leaveing the menu, press CTRL+TAB to exit to Windows. 3.- Double click on SH3 Gen icon (Of course, you have installed it before) 4.- Set your preferences and choose the last save file. It is stored in your C drive, usually C:\SH3\Career\your capitain's name\Patrol. If i am mistaken about the path, it's something very similar to the example I just gave you. Find your last save, Load it in SH3 Gen, click on generate, exit SH3 Gen and go back to SH3. I hope this helps Kaleun, and let me know if you need anything else or if my instructions ar enot clear enough. ;) CapZap |
Hi CapZap,
Looks like a good program... i'll check this out. Thanks for your quick response. Raubvogel |
