Looks great! When will we get to see submerged subs?

Looks very good Reece! Really nice new feeling in game!

It works fine now with 8km, sun, moon and much to bright nights.
I used the Black Sky Fix from Hansolo Help-Page::rock:

Please forgive me, if I ask a stupid question, but what has really changed that much?
I mean, I allready see some water reflections, and sun/moon reflections. And I do see both dark and light colour clouds!

So this project: can it lead to transparent water too? :hmm:
THAT would really interest me... (just love that feature in SH4...)
Is it possible at all?

Woof1701 06-06-07 05:33 PM

Thanks very much Reece! I really appreciate the work you put into that!!

That's the first complaint for the nights being too bright, that's what most people want, but that really depends on the Env colors your using, I found stormy nights to be still almost black, if you were testing in the Navigation academy screen the nights stay like dusk by default, I got fooled by this!!:) I checked out the link but can't read German.

Oh yes that would be nice, seeing your u-boat just below the surface or watching a sinking ship dissappear into the dark waters! Gives me goose bumps!!

I didn't know SHIV had transparent water, so you can see your submerged boat from the surface? Thats cool!!
Hmmm, wonder if we can import some more files!!

Yeah same, I don't have the game but thats the only feature of SH4 that really want.

it *might* be possible. From underwater you can see stuff that is out of the water...
Hopefully its not hardcoded.:hmm:

Hi Reece, I followed your progress through the past weeks and I'm very glad with your results. What tool do you use to edit the scene.dat and other dat-files ?

Reece 06-06-07 11:16 PM

Thanks rik007, but all fixed now, have 3 versions that I will put to a new thread:

Cheers.

Cheers for the offer Jochen... but I've never actually tried modding SH3 - and as much as I'd love to give it a go, I just don't have time. I don't get nearly enough time to play the game as I'd like, I don't need another project!
