For Macedonia I had to have a passport valid for 6 months after I planned to leave the country. As it stood, mine expired 3 months after. So, shiny new biometric (ugh) passport

Maybe they were afraid you would attempt to reclaim Alexander the Great's empire.:p

Ah it was worth it, I have a funky black eagle stamp from Albania now :D

But...given that my passport spent last night drying out whiskey, it may be in bad shape

Ahh whiskey, nector of the Gods, pretty sure Ambrosia that granted immortality in Ancient Mythology was a whiskey blend. :up: :p


I shouldn't really be talking about drinking whiskey since i'm 17 but....

You know, if you microwave the passport for about 10 seconds it'll fry the transistor that's in the RFID on your passport. Helps keep your personal information more secure that way. But it may or may not make your trip through customs a bit more of a hassle though.
