Well, almost perfect - I moved it to "500", and that put it right where I wanted it. it slides out great and everything seems to work (opening book, turning pages, changing ship angles, etc.)

HOWEVER, after I open a book and look at the ships, when the book slides back to the left edge the black scale bar at the bottom of the pages stays slid out - it doesn't slide back over to the left like the rest of the book does. I'm thinking it might have been that way all along, but it used to be in the dark part at the bottom so it wasn't as noticeable as it is now when it's protruding into the sky part of the scope view.

I'll take a look at the file and see if I can figure out why this is happening, but I thought you might want to check it out too in case it's a problem with the original mod/tweak settings.

Even with that line, this is still very cool (it goes away if I hit "N" again to close the book), and is a small price to pay for being able to leave the book open to the page you want, but I would like to get the line to slide back with the rest of the manual if possible.

Great work :rock:

[edit] The way the scale looks, it's like it never actually slides all the way out to the right, either - with the book fully open/slid out, the right-most edge of the scale only reaches out about 2/3rds of the way under the ship picture, and the left end of the scale spills over across the "spine" of the manual and off the left edge of the screen. Since I didn't mess with that section of the .ini file, I suspect that the scale part may be messed up in the original mod tweak. I found what looked like the section for the scale, but I could not figure out what might be wrong with it.

Well, I thought I would be able to fix this pesky scale problem. I was able to move it over to the right so it was in basically the right place, but I could not get it to slide back when the others do and I couldn't see anything obviously wrong about any of the lines in that section compared to lines in the sections of the items which do slide back just fine.

So, since I didn't really see any practical use for the scale anyway, I got tired of screwing with it and just moved the scale completely off-screen so it doesn't show up at all - just made the following change to the menu_1024_768.ini file to do this:
[G25 I43]
Zone= 115 122 429 7 0 1 0x25060003 0 -1 0x25060004 0 0 1000 1000

Still bugs me that I can't get this to slide, but at least now I don't have to look at it :)

Enjoy!

Is there any way to get the TDC and torpedo controls to permanently slide out?

I hate having to slide them out every time I load the game or start a new patrol.

Any way you could post this to filefront. Have problems with rapidshare.

Along the same lines, can I get the Chrono to stay out unless I put it away, like when switching between stations?
