I really like the 'worn' view through the periscope. Something like this should be done for Sh3, too!

I am horribly inept...where on earth is one supposed to put the 2RTR US Periscope v1.1.rar file? I downloaded this off of Subsim and there isn't a readme with it, just the .rar file.

I installed the Mod.

I notice that the Mod Scope (on the right below) does not have the solid black line of the 'crosshair' as does the default original SH4 scope (on the left, below).

Is that intentional? Is that historically accurate?

AFAIK the scope without a horizontal line is correct for some marks of US periscope.

ps: Myself i prefer no horizontal line, Seems less cluttered as i scan horizon (sometimes the line can mask a ship way off in distance and it takes another 360 to find it lol)

Nice work man. I really love this new look. Night time attack with scope will be harder for sure. Being the US subs night scope was not really that good, this little beauty added a whole new dimension:up:
