A. I don't expect everyone to think like me.

B. I neither bow nor worship SH4.

Rather, this forum (and the one for SH3) does get pretty cluttered after just one day of posting. Yes, we have the good historical disucssion threads in here and the gameplay advice/question threads, but unfortunately those make up only about 10-15% of the daily content. Unfortunately the rest of it is a lot of noise, such as this thread here. :p :nope:

Ok, so cant we agree the moderator should ban anyone that expresses an opinion or query outside the double-plus-good "groupthink" zeitgeist?

Offenders are then placed into any of the following subgroups:

Person of Interest

Domestic Dissident

Enemy of The State

Then, we change the forum tagline to "Welcome to Subsim, you are a suspect".

Finally, we usher in a brave new world, free of clutter and noise!

subsim.com wouldn't be popular if it wasn't for the noise.

Ooohhh...do you really believe that??

Subsim is popular for its debate and knowledgebase...not all this noise we see these days. Noise belongs in the Ubi forums :sunny:

Well, I did a search and found a thread about it, Grim_Death. Maybe you should learn how to use the search engine better.

Edit: Sorry, it was THIS thread I found.

So Grim, you waiting for SimHQ to come back up, too? :D

I'm always surprised that someone would rather resurrect a two-year old thread on a subject than just start a new one....but okay. Bring on DC2. Bring on AC/DC as well.

People forget that DC 1 was a colossal flop, selling very few copies. A financial bloody nose is taken as a lesson by businesses and they are unlikely to make the same mistake twice. They are also very aware that when people say what they want, they often lie. When the product they were clamoring about is manufactured the people who demanded it are nowhere to be found.

Put the two ideas together and I think you can come to the conclusion that DC2 is an unlikely possibility. At best something like it could be integrated into a game as a no risk proposition. But I wouldn't expect it to be developed as an independent product and I doubt much effort would go into it as an integrated feature.

I'd love to be wrong!

It'd be nice if they'd just add enemy subs that dive, evade, stalk, and torpedo.

Hey, I bought it. Shouldn't that be enough?:rotfl:

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. Companies do exist for the purpose of making money, and if the one I liked didn't, there's not much I can do about it but whine.

Still, I'm one of the skimmer fans who'd love to chase u-boats again.

If it had come out on time ... at the same time as SH2 ... it probably would've done a lot better. Also, its selling point was its ability to integrate with SH2 multiplayer. By itself, it wasn't much of a game. And, at the time, MP was a dial-up proposition for most players. Unfortunately, the SH/DC combination didn't work too well on dial-up.
