you guys must be real nit-pickers!

my rig:
p4 2.6 ghz
1 gig ddr ram
6800 gt 256mb graphics

the thing looks great on medium and i get ~40 fps everywhere. external and internal.
there's certain elements even that i think look better with the medium settings rather than everything on high (on high i got ~10 fps when approaching large convoys) like the transparency of crew on surface.

*shrug*.

<In YODA voice> So sure are you?

All I've seen is the post copied to this forum by Neal Stevens.

The devs said they had "Strong hopes" the FSAA problem would be fixed. They didn't mention resolution at all.

In addition, I know they're not native English speakers, but the phrase "strong hopes" didn't sound like something they were in control of.

Since this is a problem affecting GRAW and other Ubi games, I wonder if in fact this is a problem with whatever engine Ubi are using, and the SH4 team are waiting for that fix to come from somebody else in Ubi.... Just my guess, seemed like a weird way to put it...

EDIT : Actually I re-read that dev message and they do talk about a fix for high resolution users so I was wrong there. Again though, the term seems weird - why use the term "fix" and not just say there will be support for higher resolutions? I don't know, probably just being paranoid :)

Nobody is nit-picking. If you run this sim in anything resembling high res (I run 1600X1200) then the jaggies are B A D.... Im not just talking a little. Picture the cable on the sub with 2 foot triangles running down it.... there was a thread with a screenie of it here somewhere.

Thanks for the Vsync advice..... that made a BIG difference. Now if we can get FSAA working.....
