Congratulations Penny! That's surely a Knight's Cross catch.
P.s. I haven't seen any carriers in my careers yet... |
Knights Cross... I already got one ;)
Im hoping for a better one when I get back now! :) |
ONLY one carrier? What happened to the rest of the task force? You bloody women. You're RUINING the Kriegsmarine! I'll bet you had to use more than just a SINGLE torpedo.
When I sank my last carrier I just rammed it until she keeled over in a big whine of pain. Then I threw my binoculars at the nearest destroyer and it pinged into the smoke stack and jammed up the worked until rivets went flying EVERYWHERE and the ensuing hail of hardware destroyed the rest of them. Then Jesus came down from heaven on a chariot of goat cheese and handed me an Iron Cross 18th class... I think I've had too much coffee... Brilliant job love. Keep up the good work. I still haven't bagged me a carrier yet. I saw one once but was sans torpedoes. But hey that is a nice bit of targeting in rough weather. |

To tell you the truth, I've been lucky one and only time : I was at periscope depth, when the sonarman detected 3 battleships at flank speed coming on my way . Luckily, I got them all : the Revenge, the Nelson, and I don't remember what was the third, that was my best tonnage patrol, I sunk something like 300.000 t. But I've been lucky to be at the right place at the right moment, on the way of this convoy.... Most of the time it's about luck. :88) ;) When I sink a battleship it's at Scapa Flow, most of the time, when I see a stationed one. |
PG, ur not alone not the CV kill, I have one too!
http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m.../dsfgsdger.jpg Encounter two carrier TFs at Harstad so I decide to take the closest TF which is one a CV and Two DDs, and other one have Two CVs, and a CL and a few DDs but I was too far to catch up wit them so I took this one. http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...over/hjghj.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...lover/hfgh.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...lover/nghg.jpg |
Azn, it was a fitting name for a carrier that got it's self sunk.... Indefatigable. I think it's resting quite peacefully now, no more fatigue for her. LOL
|
Penny,
see what you have started? Carrier mania :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Well, at least it might distract some of the wanabee Scapa heroes :ahoy: Lesh go have a dwink,:arrgh!: |
Congratulation Penny.
I never sink a carrier. |
I sunk a Bogue once in similar conditions, was quite chuffed myself. :D
Well done PG! |
I love the sound of torpedoes launching in the morning. Sounds like... Victory!
Congrats on the carrier. :) Even though we're not to particular, we need heros! (sorry, just a little Das Boot joke  ) |
Congratulations Penny
I'm on my way now North of Norway coast ( May 1940 ), fog and rain... there is something going on ;) Radio messages told fast warship traffic there... hope get something catch:hmm: |
