I don't see Ubi pushing the release date back in the U.S., only to release it early in Sweden. lmao |

I have purchased stuff brfore release date in Australia. If you catch one of the attendants when he is not busy and nobody is around he may give it you.
Also, if your nice you will get Silent Hunter for the online price thats advertised on some websites. I bought FlightSimulator X on the weekend for $75 when they were asking for $99. I also remember getting gran turismo a week earlier than anyone else after having a chat with a store attendat for 15min. He said No about 10 times and then sold it to me with 10% discount on top of that. Actually the last 2 gran turismos... hehe Aussies eventually cave in if your a nice bloke. You can get anything before release date here is Aus. I'm not being a hero... just telling everyone my experiences. Don't ask me what shop, how and if I got Silent hunter 4.;) I don't want to get any shops in trouble or people angry. |

I'd be amazed if some shop in Austrailia got it before EB, CompUSA, Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, Target, and Gamestop in America. That'd be crazy. I guess it's possible, but unlikely. Who knows though. If you did, great. Post some screenies for all of us to look at while we wait. :) |
Hopefully some shop gets it and puts it out early like what happens with many other games I have purchased. Could some of us be getting SH4 this week? You never know... ;)

I worked for EB for close to 2 years, and we had stock in the back room for many products before release on a LOT of occasions. In fact, I think our store beat every other retail outlet in our area on just about every release date "time", i.e, the time we put the product on the shelf or handed out the product (at least that's what our customers told us). The only time I can really remember getting something late out at our store, was UT on the XBOX....and it showed up in the evening. Other than that, and as far as I can remember, we were always on-time, or early, while I was there. I can't remember any titles ever being put out "very late" though. I also worked for Best Buy and CompUSA. Best Buy was usually right on time or very close to release on the street-date, while CompUSA sometimes took a while longer depending on title. CompUSA was probably the worst that I can remember. lol :) |

My local EB has always been very reliable. I have also received things I've pre-ordered actually a day or two early. They have, for some titles, called me and said my copy has arrived and would I like to collect it.
I've seen some articles in Aus bagging EB, but I've always found them helpful, friendly and well-priced. Expect my SHIV on 22nd. If they call a day or two before, that would be a bonus. Cheers all |

EBGames is not the only store out there. Walk around your city stores and you may be surprised. OK. I got a little frustrated at some of you aussies who haven't got the game so I called the first games staore I could think of in Melbourne and asked them. They said I can pick it up later today. C'mon blokes! Go get it and stop waiting for EBGames! No I am not posting the store name as I don't want to get anyone in trouble. Sorry about my frustrations but I hate seeing aussies suffer. |
Np :)
But having to wait a few extra days for a videogame is not really "suffering". lol It's only a videogame and it's only a few days. ;) |
