I am now saying here that it will work all the time but I think sometimes the torp will pass under the NIXIE but will not always explode.

May be I am wrong?

So I am guessing everybody should have it to 100% then?
And what is it call exactly in the .ini

Thank you!

The failure rate of the NIXIE in attracting torpedoes is still 15%. The .ini setting refers to the percentage chance a torpedo will explode on the decoy on once it is attracted. If you wanted to model NIXIE spoofing but torpedoes not exploding on the decoy with some chance, you can use the .ini setting to set that parameter.

Cheers,
David

You could install lwami 3.05 + quick fix and then resort to install only the databse and doctrines upgrade for 3.07.
No automatic installer needed.

Well, if I'm not mistaken the graphic models are the same in lwami 3.05 and 3.07.
I don't think new models were introduced in 3.07.

OneShot 02-12-07 08:01 AM

The models are the same as with v3.05. The changes to v3.06 and v3.07 have only been to the database and doctrines.

Anyway, why posting bare versions ? 10 megs is hardly a trouble for anyone these days. I understand why somebody does not want installer. The old regime with two version 9installer/non-installer) was just fine. With non-installer version I can choose what I will install and what not.

Whats the problem with having more choice instead of less choice ?
I didn't download the 10 meg version because I already had the 3.05 version.
So I choose the minimal upgrade to the database and doctrine files.
Whats wrong with that ?

And I have a 4MB/512kb adsl connection.

I installed V3.07 and the name in the MOD directory in DW was LWAMI_Mod not LWAMI_v307, it had the same name in the JSGME tool. Also the installation instructions in the LWAMI_Mod directory is for V3.05. The mod installed correctly and the splash screen showed V3.07. Thanks again for this, it improves the game immensly. This is not a complaint, just letting you know what I saw.

The problem is there is no version with all the data but without installer. :arrgh!:

No big problem Dr.Sid.
Just use the installer to install the mod files in an arbitrary directory.
Then delete the installer and zip the mod files (database and doctrine).
There you have version 3.07 in a zip file without installer for future use.

That is intended. With the new version the LwAmi subfolder in the /Mod folder is just named LwAmi_Mod. As far as the installation instructions go - I was to lazy to update them ... actually with the new installer and all there is no reason anymore to keep that file as the graphics update happens automatically and afterwards all the model files are deleted.

Well, as far as the three versions go ... the small package is for those who have the models and dont need the full one (and yes, most people have broadband ... but not all). The Bare bones is for those who only want the actual changes and no gimmicks like a splash screen.

And as goldorak pointed out ... if you want to select what you install and whatnot, simply download the small/bare package, install it into a temp directory and copy & paste the stuff you want. Sort like with the Zip files except after you copied the stuff you run the installer to get rid of the files and the entry in the startmenu.

Target destroyed ! This works nicely .. good enough for me.

From Luftwolf:

''The failure rate of the NIXIE in attracting torpedoes is still 15%. The .ini setting refers to the percentage chance a torpedo will explode on the decoy on once it is attracted. If you wanted to model NIXIE spoofing but torpedoes not exploding on the decoy with some chance, you can use the .ini setting to set that parameter.''

If I am doing the 100% for the NIXIE, does it implied that it will explode as well on normal countermeasures (I don't want the last one...)
Thanks
