I thought rate of fire was more important!;) If my gun is not as big as yours, but can fire more often, I can do more damage!!:D

We need to consider loading time between shots:D

That comes with experience, hence age;)

Disagree: it's not all about the size of a gun. It doesn't have to be big, as size doesn't matter. It has to be long and thick.

And yes, reload time is also quite important. Any machine gunners here? :)
