Can these new models be used by the player because I can't make them controllable or are they just AI?

LuftWolf 01-30-07 07:40 AM

The new models replace some models that were previously in the stock game for AI platforms.

No more no less.

The entire mod, however, addresses a lot of different issues.

Cheers,
David

Oh sorry I overlooked that .. you said you won't post it there didn't you ?
Anyway, since it does not require password, everything is fine.

Really nice models !

XabbaRus: I have found some minor glitches on your models. Those thingies behind sail on Typhoon (what's that anyway ?) seems to have double polygons (two identical polygons), I encounter some Z-buffer fighting there. Same for Xia's screw. Also Typhoon have some unsmoothed polygons in the upper tail section.

But I'm really impressed. Thank you all !

XabbaRus 01-30-07 10:26 AM

hmm I'll look at the Typhoon. Z Buffer stuff seems to be a common problem. It happens when I have to polys close to each other. The unsmoothed polys on the tail, I must have missed that.

No biggy, easy to fix.

Parts of the fin and rudder where going "pink" when I looked at it earlier :nope:

I was playing the 'Hidden Assets' Mission and the Foxtrot that was spawned didn't have moving screws. Was it something that happened when I installed the graphics per the read-me?:o:o

EDIT: Yes, it was with truth on.

XabbaRus 01-30-07 02:55 PM

No it means I forgot to set up the screw names in the database. I went through about 3 databses setting things up.

with the Typhoon I have trakced it down to max doing something funny after I have mapped a model. It seems the old mapping program would do some screwy things. I have a new version so if you can bear with me I'll make a new Typhoon map.

How long can you guys hold out?

As long as is necessary. ;)

I won't sleep I guess. Those pinky screws ! Those pinky screws ! :rotfl:

Take your time .. no problem. Also .. how often do you have a chance to really peep Typhoons screws ? :|\\

LuftWolf 01-30-07 10:30 PM

I think these things can definately wait a week or two for a new full version of the mod, rather than an immediate patch. :)

Cheers,
David

If it's Ramius (RN) or Sonar732 (as in SSBN 732), perhaps more often than you might think. ;)

David

Access to 'feedback' site locked.

SW Hull array has full forward view but also now has full rear view - in fact full 360 deg coverage ? Also, no prob., but Hull front baffle still appears on the display.

SW SA and WAA now very 'friendly' to its Captain - I obtained excellent firing solutions from a combo of NB and WAA on 3 sub targets (ranges 5-10 nm) within 5 mins of Quick Mission (Hard) start. Perhaps a little too friendly ?

Dumps available.
