Q: What kind of car do you have?
A: er..A slow one. To be more precise a 1.8 na diesel ford escort with about 150k on the clock and rust in all the usual places. K reg, so that's around '95/'96 (I think) for you Americans. I give it 6 months... but I've been saying that for over 3 years now :( Over Christmas & the new year I had a hire car for about 7-10 days- new shape vauxhall (opel to you foreigners) vectra 1.8 SRI petrol. I'm not a massive vauxhall fan, but this was nice to drive in almost every way compared to my escort. Comfortable, soooo easy to drive, cruise control, ABS, power steering etc and a stereo that kicks ass for a factory fit job. And when you got it over 4.5k revs the engine just seemed to growl more more more! all the way to 7k rpm and before you know it you're the wrong side of 100mph on an A-road. hehe. I wonder what the 2.0L turbo version was like :hmm: Roll on new motor for me ASAP... something in V6 flavour with any luck... mundano st24/st200 or ghiaX if the price and mileage is right or perhaps the old shape vectra V6 SRI. Other alternatives are Audi A4's or a monster volvo 2.5 - the mahoosive estates the fuzz use here as motorway patrol/pursuit cars, C70?... mmm nice. Missus has a new shape fiat seicento 1.1 sporting. It's like driving a diddy go-cart with power steering and headlights. I laughed until I drove it and realised it pastes the **** out of mine. |

I used to have a 1994 Ford Escort wagon. It got wrecked some time ago, never replaced. These days I ride public transportation.
Like Letum, I have a bike. Mine's a 1982 Kawasaki KZ750D. Like Letum's, mine also doesn't run. @I-25: You're VW Thing (also known as Safari and Trekker) was also a copy of the Wermacht's original Kubelwagen, updated to '70s safety standards. |

Never owned a car, and I won't be owning one for some time to come. Petrol prices will probably too high too high anyway by the time I can afford one. :D
