Sorry, it's been a while since I played

Well, if the strike is over then I'll cut you and DanD off at....

Baywater

My options are getting thin :(

*edit* Bays water - Central line ;)

Oberon 01-22-07 10:43 AM

Ooooh, you are getting desperate....I reckon we could have Mornington in two or three here...

Well, I think I'm going to move to the place where all services go to die, or get changed, or turned around, or moved, or break down...

Earl's Court.

I don't have the nerves to play this. I'll just go with:

Richmond.

Have mercy.

MORNINGTON CRESCENT

Are we asleep at our keyboards? You fools left it wide open!

Shall we play again?

Oberon 01-22-07 02:56 PM

Damn...I thought I could get away with it...but that's what gambling's like...you win or you lose.

Drinks are on you fatty!

Right...let's play again...same rules? Or shall we try using the amended Elephant & Castle rules (the 1945 abridged version)?

Letum 01-22-07 03:14 PM

awwww! nice one fatty. Great win!

I might have got in there if I wasn't frozen.

The amended Elephant & Castle rules (the 1945 abridged version) are fine by me as long as we allow layering. I'm not starting this time tho.

Oberon 01-22-07 03:31 PM

Layering's good...it'll help the beginners play too.

I'll start the game off then with one I've been to many times:

Dagenham Heathway!

As the trousers of doom gently fray through the inevitable spinner of the tartan cheesecloth economy cycle, the real question here is where is the lovely Samantha? And who will tally our scores or other unmentionables in her absence? :hmm:

Stepney Green.

AH HA! I've got you now! You ready for this? CLAPHAM COMMON. The Crescent will be mine soon enough...

Is that a dubble-back move?

Close. It's an up 'n over. According to the Nottingham Addendum to the 1954 edition of the Official Rules, they are pretty much the same. But we are playing with the Bollback rules, which gives a slight variation for both.

Thank you, thank you. I am quite familiar with Bollback, particularly the inversion condition that allowed me to sneak in at the end.

E&C 1945 is another story! Jeez, you guys sure have left me in a tight spot...

Arsenal

Edit: hey, I'm a watch now!
