Hi gouldjg, I don't use GWX, mine is a mixture of over 80 mods but based on HT147, though the campaign files have been altered somewhat!!:D
Is the zones.cfg file taken from GWX? if so could you print the active parts that you changed please so that I can manually CutnPaste into mine.:yep:
Thanks.

Hi Reece

All you need to do is dl my mod which is pretty much just the zones.cfg

Then compare with your existing zones.cfg document. The changes are only on the special effects except where I tuned the ship sinking bubbles to create secondry explosions.

As far as GWX latest version is concerned, I have yet to try it and probably will not get to try it for the immediate future.

GWX team state this may interfere with their damage model. I have yet to see any adverse effect but be warned.

I am holding on for the release of SH4 though I hope that the likes of Jscones GWX team etc etc are all waiting as I am to get into the game and look at what possibles we have to play with.

Guys, the special effects are a doddle once you have a play with them. Just back up your zones cfg before tweaking.

Hi there mate,
I whant to give this Mod a try and see what it looks like

Sorry if I missed something allready said....

As 1.02 does not include new ships there should not be a problem. The mod changes only the zone files. I haven't try it myself (I just love Von's Damage Model too much and I don't change it for anything) but I don't think there should be a problem in using it in 1.02

as i know is Creator and the quellity of is work I whant to check it
out...

If it changes the zone damage files to much I don't know without trying it...

Thanks gouldjg, I'll give it a try, I am still using the Hollywood mod (was that yours?), if that had changes to the zones.cfg then the version I use would be Stock 1.4b + Hollywood & now Special effects!:D
Thanks.

PS. I have a good file compare program - will use it!

Hi. nice mod. I use it with GWX but, could you make a bigger smoks and fire??
http://img382.imageshack.us/img382/430/smokeey3.jpg
They are too small. :( If you duble it it will be good :)

If you can do a bigger oil stain on water and make that this oil nad some derbit will be longer on water. It will be great :)

This was a simple changing of some special effects text and a way to have some secondry explosions as the ships sink under the water.

I played with GWX for about a month now and have yet to see any adverse effect.

I cannot make bigger smoke but i did include some bigger fires. I did not want to overdo it though.

All I did was tweak numbers = very unskilled modding but patience is needed with testing
