I would pay, no doubt. It is quality work that the community added what they would like and what needs to be removed. The development team went and did what we asked AND MORE! But you know, sometimes the praises of the community and gratitude is enough payment for most. Everyone needs to hear an 'atta boy' every now and then. :up:

I'm used to payware add ons for games, so I would pay whatever it takes. Just lost $1000 on the stock market so this is just peanuts anyway ;)

But it's amazing that almost every addon for SH3 is freeware, highly unusual. Only exception is the well known X1 add on.

The subsim community is something else :up:

I donated $25 to Subsim for Pacific Aces (which came on a CD with all the best SHII mods included). I would be willing to pay $15-$30 for a CD with GWX, as long as it was a donation to Subsim or UBRS. That puts it in the category of worthy cause.

The Grey Wolves Expansion is one of those free mods that truly deserves to be released on the market as an official expansion pack for Silent Hunter III. But as none of its work is stolen, I doubt that'll happen.

I'd pay at least $50 myself. Grey Wolves is quality, the product of passion and commitment.

The max. price I will ever pay for an addon/expansion is the usual 19,90€ that they charge here in Finland.
