On the Coast Guard thing a homing torpedo would take care of them or at least should. |
The panamal canal isn't modled in game. Rather pointless because theres nothing on the other side. And again, yes you can circumnavagate the globe in SH3. I found this out when testing a fatigue model i was working on in a single mission. I placed the start point south of argentina/south america, headed due west, and came out east of New zealand.
If you really wanted to you can see where Pearl Harbor *would* be if it was modled in game, Just make a single mission and place your start point where ever it is you'd like to go to. There'll be nothing there but palm tree's. Again, the entire pacific is a blank slate, but you can go there. Ive often thought of making a poor man's SH4, psudeo US sub campaign using the german uboats we have, but that is an undertaking that is well beyond the ablities of 1 person. COnsidering all the harbors that would need to be put in and such, and essentually creating an RND and SCR layer from scratch, as theirs nothing out there. But, the ambitious, do have a clean slate to work with. |
If i remember correctly- the panama canal and port for pearl harbor (just not marked on map) is in Uwac1.7. I actually added a lot of locations, ports, cities, in the far east--but never got around to scripting any ships in SCR or Rnd--like Ducimus said-it was too ambitious of a plan for one man's time.
