Well, hopefully the General Election, but we'll see what happens then...I'm not holding my breath for any change. :dead:

I call it 'hard earned rewards for over forty years of graft and paying heavily into a system that many have benefited from'....my turn :03:

Ed should have made sure the facts on his side of the fence before attacking Toff Boy. As for Grant Shapps he is without question a vile seedy little man.

The Tories are going to stop benefits for Alcoholics, drug addicts and the obese.

In other words, Scottish Independence by the back door.

Just another way to manipulate the figures. This was a subject on the radio last night and some of the callers who work in the NHS said this will cost double the amount than the current situation, strange old Toff Boy leaves that bit of info out.

It would appear that the fate of the Labour Party is in the hands of "Glasgow Man":

Welcome to world of Scottish politics. Where Glasgow goes, the rest of the country gets dragged along with it, whether it wants to or not.:hmph:

David Cameron: Unemployed young 'should do community work'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-31500763

Oh boy this is bloody scandalous, more bollocks from toffboy

Quote:

Those aged between 18 and 21 who have not been in employment, education or training ("Neets") for six months would no longer receive Job Seekers' Allowance (JSA).
Instead, they would be paid the Youth Allowance, paid at the same rate as JSA - £57.35 a week.
However, in order to receive it they would be required to carry out 30 hours a week of mandatory community work from day one of their claim
I always thought community service was a punishment..............but the Tory toffs must now think being unemployed is a crime.

Jimbuna 02-17-15 06:08 AM

I'm not sure this is such a bad idea TBH.

It has already begun for everyone over six months I hear, yes I agree better doing something but what I am against is they are forced to do 40 to 48 hour week! Come off it 15 to 20 hours is fair but what Toff Boy is doing is the return of slavery just more evidence the clock is moving back in my book.

I'm looking at the 30 hour mark which is a figure generally accepted as being between part-time and full-time hours.

Any more and I would agree...justly unfair.

I would go on further to say that anyone continuing for a period in excess of twelve unbroken months should be transferred into a permanent contract.

TIME FOR A RANT AND THIS RANT IS NOT SUPPORTING UKIP ITS ABOUT THE BIAS MEDIA!

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/anti-eu-uk...mt_s=m#xZJmhpx

Last night CH4 put on this drama called UKIP the first 100 Days about a UKIP victory in the 2015 general election and the way this drama was presented was nothing more than Channel Four view point. We all know CH4 is more left than right but like the BBC they too claim not to be bias, yet that hogwash last night looked like what the Nazis did in Germany in the 1930's.

From what I hear Off Com has rec'd well over 700 complaints and rising. I am sick of the media who hide behind the shield we are not bias when clearly they are. If your going to be bias just say so.

Rant Over

:)

I agree to a point, they should rec'd extra money on top and a lot more real help not that rubbish now. People are not the same, we're all different as some are alright others have mental health problems bought about all kinds of reasons. Yes there are some who swing the lead but Toff Boy thinks everyone is and that is wrong.

Good advice to the unemployed a comment on Yahoo news I read..
Quote:

The unemployed should jolly well follow Iain Duncan-Smith's example, get a dodgy "degree" from an Italian "university", marry a rich man's daughter and then live off his money.

MGR1 02-17-15 12:12 PM

On the surface a fine idea, but when you look a little deeper....

For example: Sending 18-21 year old job seekers to help in care homes. Would you like the thought of someone who is there against their will, doing work they have no interest in, caring for an elderly relative?

I certainly hope they send these young people into an environment where it will actually help their career prospects, rather than hinder.

There's also the possibility that the organisations who participate will see this as a source of cheap labour, therefore undercutting the rights of their existing work forces.

Considering it's from the Tories, with their "punish the benefit scroungers" election mantra, I sincerely doubt this has been thought through properly.....:hmmm:

It's more populist clap-trap that's just to buy votes from the Daily Mail crowd and stop them drifting off to UKIP.

Daily Mail can seriously cause health problems and death.

Daily Express can seriously cause health problems and get you hooked on the weather.
