Did you try and 'point' the sonar at the visual sighting bearing yourself? RR made a test Mission and we all knew where the ship was, but my sonar guy couldn't hear a thing. When I pointed the sonar at the bearing I knew the ship to be near, I could hear it plain as day. When I again clicked on the follow nearest contact, I'd get: "Sweeping!" Then silence... Hmmmm |

Windows 10  AMD FX 8350 Eight Core Processor 16 GB DDR3 2200 MHz Ram NVIDIA GTX 770 4GB Opened Museum OK Viewed every single unit (All Nations) No crashes :D One small texture problem Looks like the turrets on the Yubari Cruiser do not have a texture loaded http://i.imgur.com/7IW2tha.jpg Other than that - all good  |
I report in alaskan command, there s only 1 mission. Ever the same.
So whats up with windows 10? Since i ve problem in alaskan command, i ll restart a new campaign from manila. Going to bomb hirohito palace. (later mcarthur will be furious with me.) |
I do not think the Aleutian Campaign ever got finished
It was started in TMO 1.6 (I think) but was only ever an experimental I do not think Ducimus ever finished it And - on the top of that - the original FOTRS team maybe did not look at it? Try a Pearl or Freemantle start and see if you make any progress I have a feeling the Aleutian campaign is bare bones and unfinished |

max-peck, when you were in the Museum, did you happen to go backwards and forward around that Yubari? Sometimes, that will bring the textures in. Sometimes though, it crashes. The part that looks odd to me is that the lower deck gun has texture. |
In tmo is finished. I played iy several times. The european from england, is unfinished.
In fotrs is unfinished or bugged instead. Also if i start from brisbane and transfer to dutch harbour do same. Thats mean is a problem of the campaign files. The missions there are. Patrol kiska. Attu. Insertion. Etc but the campaign dont wotk. In tmo 2.5 it work fine. So i guess its not unfinished. Only some fix need. Btw, thats not leave nothing to this mod that for me is one of the best. Revolutionary. The grand campaign instead, fr manila, australia, or pacific islands, go ok. Work. |
I hadn't even looked yet, but you say there's an Atlantic start also? We'll have to beef a few areas up then...

However FOTRS is built on TMO 1.7 Which is maybe why this does not work??:03: |
Yes. But alsonin grand campaign from dh there arent missions. I guess there s some problem with files..btw, we ll see :)meanwhile play from manila.
Meanwhile in tmo 2.5 yes there s an atlantic start unfinished. Ever the same.mission How going.your batteries? I nees too time for recharge....1-2 days if is to 50-25%. And.sometime boats have too accelleration. |
Yeah, I'm thinking there was liberal use of TMO here, beginning with v1.7, and continuing...
There are three Kiska assignments in TMO 2.5, three in FotRS. There are four for Attu, plus one insertion in TMO 2.5, while FotRS has one Patrol and one Insertion. I still haven't looked at the Atlantic side, but the traffic there was disabled for the time being, until we double-check ship calls there. So, it'll be ~very~ quiet in that part of the world if you do a Start there... Now, I'm wondering if there's a "New Construction" there, and you're supposed to try and get through the Panama Canal?... I guess I'll get to digging after I get off this little touch pad thingie... Too hard to look at things on it, much less do text editing for here... :D You're in a Sugar boat, or "S" boat, correct ArditoCorsaro? Surely they aren't "modeling" a bad set of batteries with that, are they?... I don't know which one of us will check it, but we'll dig into that. Has anyone done a "Test Crush" of their boat(s)? I'm wondering now if that was copied off of TMO and other mods, where you never really knew how far you could push your boat... at least, until you "died"... |
280-300 fts it crush. But with webster s class.mod over 200it crush. (simulate a really bad and old pigboat. It depend some pigboat could dive also to 350like the s-34 done in kiska or attu once. Others didnt go over 100-150. It depend by the boats conditions. In italy we had some of these boats. H class. Build in 1917 by the electric boat company for italy. We used it in ww1 and some in ww2 for second line duties, patrol the coast and submarone schools (that was in war zones. Pola and genova.. These boats, brothers of the s class, had a test depth of 80 meters (263 feets) and my grandpa that served on they in submarine school before war,(later did "new construction" with a brin class, ocean going sub, send in east africa after the trials) told me that they resist also to 90 meters sometime if was in good conditions. But wasnt advisable push the luck in these old fashoned boats ofc. The.most older and rusted i guess was used for training. While the most good did war patrols. I guess. Also aoviets had these class of pigboats. Ah class. (american holland.). Served in ww2 too in black sea.

Btw a techical date: a new build sub, can go also over crush depth and come back. Because the steel is new. But if you go over crush depth the boat is ready for scuttle later. Also if survive. While with the time, going to deep depth the steel is pressed and weaked. A sub that never gone over test depth, is in very good condition in spite of one that several times gone over test depth. So what do they?every time they reach a deeper depth, they mark one "cycle" for the steel. A hull with too cycles, is dangerous go too deep. And every boat is diverse: for example on paper, one class have a test depth. But that boat or this, can have a diverse test depth. It depend by the dock yard, by the builders, trials, etx
Ofc we cant make that on a game. Is only for say that test amd crush depth depend by many factors Source: a modern submariner chief enginer. |
Can i use pre pearl career start for tmo with it?
