Huh, strange...

Anyway, the fact that there are downed airmen at all is good enough for me.

Sailor Steve 02-20-07 11:12 AM

Take another look at the bottom one...he's running decks awash.

Safe-Keeper 02-20-07 11:22 AM

Oh! Look at the search light/signal light on the bridge:up:! Anyone think we'll be able to use it?

Sulikate 02-20-07 11:31 AM

Here is a enhanced and less jaggy version of a screenshot posted above I made:

I know these are all demo shots designed to show the dramatic Hollywood effect graphics, but surfacing your sub in the middle of an IJN battleline is just not an activity with any sort of a future as that Kongo BB is just not stopping. ;)

Barkhorn.

Nice one

The transparent surface looks great, unless you are in a submarine trying to be sneaky :P

I really hope the view distance is further in SH4. I hate seeing ships pop into view.

Boris 02-20-07 12:14 PM

Good point, I wonder if the 8km default view distance of SH3 has been increased.

flintlock 02-20-07 12:18 PM

Thanks for those, Boris.

Great screenshots, and although it's been said ad nauseam already, it needs to be said yet again: amazing translucent water effect!

What? It's Parker's new anti-ramming tactic. He used it to great effect until his crew grew tired of cleaning up after the barrel-roll. Apparently everything not bolted down and secure would... move when the sub rolled around:shifty:.

We need to start up that "Funny SH4 images" thread again.

Boris 02-20-07 03:13 PM

Here we go, even more shots from Hamburg, this time from the marinesims.de preview:

:o I'm speechless!!!

Any chance of a night-shot on those locations?

Boris 02-20-07 03:23 PM

Well I don't make em, so I can't help you there. I too would like to see a night shot.
