Looks like Die Mannschaft is on a collision course with France in the quarter finals.

Group G: Germany to win group, which means they will play Runner up Group H, Group H you would assume either Belgium or Russia.
You would also assume Germany would beat either of those 2 to advance to the quarters.
Which means, Germany would play the winner of last 16 tie between winner Group E, which contains France, who you would assume will win that group. They are assumed to play Runner up group F, which almost certainly would not be Argentina, so that could possibly be Bosnia or Nigeria or Iran. Of course one could also assume France would beat any of those competitors.

So, the road has been built, France and Germany in quarter final with the winner to meet either Brazil, Netherlands, Spain, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Italy or England in one of the semis.

So you will get your real test at the quarters onwards me thinks.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the USA win, they played kinda sloppy all game, I was cheering loudly!

I am realistic though, while we may have world class players we are in a nasty bracket, and compared to Portugual and Germany, we have nothing.

But this win gives my boys a good chance of advancing. I gotta stay hopeful, it is upsetting when your own coach says the team sucks. I am thinking positive.

Not like the USA can win, but considering it is not popular here, I want to at least make for a respectable showing on the world stage. I think the rest of the world gives us a break, as we still use feet and inches, and call football soccer.
