Got a little blizzard going on here. Snow blowing around. Winds gusting to 77 km/h. Restrictions on the big bridge for trucks and high sided vehicles. Guess I'll stay in. :D

That's not a sun tan. It's wind burn! Coupled with frostbite.

-21°C, now it's a bit cold. :)

We're having the same relatively mild weather we've had for several weeks now - tonight's expected low will be around 21/-6, today's high was 40/4. I wouldn't want to be out for long without a jacket (except in the early afternoon) but I've seen colder and I've seen warmer.

-24*F this morning. I haven't looked at the forecast this morning, yet. I think we will be climbing out of the deep freezer soon and get a lot more snow. This is a good thing.
According to Environment Canada we can expect an inch today, 2 inches tonite and another inch tomorrow. Last time they forecast 2 inches we got 7, that was a good thing, too. Temperature is going up to 7*f and rising.

Old man winter hasn't stayed very long here in my neck of the woods in Utah. It's REALLY warm this winter from my experience. I think temperatures are averaging in the 30's. We haven 't had a good snowfall in my neck of the woods since early December I think. My front yard is frozen, but the snow is completely thawed. I think i see green coming back to the lawn, and buds are starting to appear on the trees. This shouldn't be happening until the end of next month at the earliest i think. Ordinarily, i'm shoveling snow every 2 or 3 days. I've shoved snow 2 or 3 times total this winter.

Of course my backyard still has snow, and my neighbors accross the street have snow on their front yard. Ode to having a house sitting on a south facing lot. As an aside, somehow I don't think california is going to be getting as much water from us this year. LOL

I know the pup certainly couldn't :)

Houston shut down, iced over bridges and overpasses. Good day to stay home and play SH4.

Saw this on the news today and wondered how you were getting along, any heat in your shipping container?

It's sticking right around 0 deg F here, with wind chills below that - supposed to get a couple " of snow tomorrow and more on Sunday. I'm ready for winter to be over already!

Perfect day sailing the 25' Catalina on the north bay at the confluence of the Napa river and the Sacramento as it empties into San Francisco Bay. 69 degrees, some haze, lots of ship traffic and sailors out. Surfs up and small craft advisories; waves are 40' just down at Mavericks for the surf championship!! We hit 8 knots before losing our nerve!!! One 20' log off Alcatraz reported by CG. We were on a newly resewn main sail and didn't want to press our good luck. New Garmin GPS radar interface overlay hanging just inside the hatch way on the slider roof works to perfection...a piece of cake for any one whose played with a SHV TAC screen actually.( Ipad nav does it too) Ships with transponders-give you name, speed etc. No errors, problems or mishaps from launch to docking- a rare day...and why I left Minnesota!:arrgh!:
