This world cup has not been good for the major European teams so far.
Time to get an orange shirt, and back the Netherlands:woot:

Top tip for England's next game:
If you're watching on SKY+ press pause and wait a second before pressing play.
Being a second or two behind the live play will give you that authentic Emile Heskey viewpoint.

How about Lampard's aim? He's kicking the wrong ball, instead of the football he's kicking the planet Earth.

Yes it was spain 82. But that time is far far away.
Although some days ago, someone asked a brasilan player wether they feared the italian team. They guy answered, italy the only country that can play 3 games ending in draw during the inital phase of the world cup and yet go on to win the world cup.
So you never know. We might end winning the cup again. :woot: :D
We suck during the intial phase against modest teams (I mean with all due respect to NZ they didn't have any talent on the field, but thats part of the charm of football) and when playing aginast the big teams the story is different.
Ah well, we need to win and win big against slovakia.

:haha::har::har::yeah:

Some more:

Fabio Capello was wheeling his shopping trolley across the supermarket car park when he noticed an old lady struggling with her bags of shopping. He stopped and asked, "Can you manage dear?" To which the old lady replied, "No way. You got yourself into this mess, don't ask me to sort it out!"

What do you call an Englishman in the knockout stages of the World Cup? A referee.

Three hours of football and Robert Green is still England's top scorer.

papa_smurf 06-20-10 03:19 PM

Ivory Coast are 3-1 down to Brazil, and Kaka has just been sent off.

nikimcbee 06-20-10 03:30 PM

well, look at the bright side Jim, Steed, and Oberon. Atleast you'll have something exciting to talk about in the pub other than the BP thingy and Steed's new high heels.:haha: [insert goalie joke here]

When does cricket season start?

Still going on, we (England) got a 1 day/test match series coming up against the "old enemy", i.e. Australia.

Any comments on that Tarjak?

Wow, here's a stat for you:

Green has scored more goals than spain, Honduras, France, Portugal, and algeria combined!:o.......

:har:

So, does he get a scoring pay bonus?

The home season is still ongoing and the national team will be off to prisoner island in November.
